I’ll never forget an Xmas outing we had for the HR team with Harry. We decided to go to France for the day. We went via Eurotunnel in 2 cars. 
We had an amazing lunch with plenty of wine (apart from the drivers of course) then went to the City of Europe to stock up on wine and cheese. 
There were some delays at the tunnel in France on the way back, but we eventually got on the train about 9 o’ clock. 
The train set off into the tunnel and we had gone about half way and stopped. We stopped for quite some time but had no idea what was going on. 
Although we were standing outside the car, our car was particularly smelly because it was quite warm and Harry had bought more cheese than most, definately the smelliest. 
Eventually Harry said he could smell smoke we all laughed.  All we were told was there had been an incident
It just so happened Harry was right  we were in the tunnel the night of the fire. I don’t remember smelling smoke but I do remember having to go back to France and wait at the back of the queue for the ferry. I got hime at 7 o’clock the next morning. That trip will stay with me forever and despite the journey home was a great day out with Harry. Fondest memories of our work and fun times together.
